Items Locked for Investigation

Hello Growtopians,

Some items from previous duplication incident resurfaced and were spread throughout the game. In order to avoid these items from being distributed and traded, we have decided to make them untradable. Please note that there is no duplication incident that happened today.

This is also to aid us in retrieving them easily. Here's the list of the items we locked:

• Zeus’ Lightning Bolt Seed (unobtainable)
• Golden Heart Crystal
• Golden Dragon Statue
• Unstable Tesseract
• Tesseract Manipulator
• Gaia’s Beacon
• Blue Gem Lock
• Xenonite Crystal
• Techno Organic Engine
• Nightmare Devil Wings
• Golden Air Robinson
• Growie Award

To be clear, there will be no server rollback. We will be unlocking these items once we’re done with the investigation.

After today's investigation, a few more previously duplicated items resurfaced. And again, to prevent them from spreading, we have locked them, too. Here are the additional items that were made untradable after the restart:

We know it’s been tough weeks, we encountered issues on several topics in a row that tarnished your experience, and that’s the last thing we want. We’ll work hard to make it up to you and we will keep you posted in the coming days!

We'd also like to give an update on the investigation on the duplicated items.

As of the moment, we've managed to retrieve some of the duplicated items and will soon prepare to cleanup and remove the items that shouldn't exist in the game. The items listed above will remain untradable until the whole process of removing and retrieving items is done.

We will continue to update everyone on the status of the investigation on this thread.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope you guys are enjoying your holidays so far.

Just to give an update on the status of the investigation of the resurfaced duplicated items; the recent Winterfest issues slowed down our investigation. Do not worry, though, the investigation didn't stop and we're currently finishing up the last few checks.

We intend to unlock the items next week, but no exact date yet. We will keep everyone posted about this.

Just to give you another update on the progress of the investigation regarding the resurfaced duplicated items, we are still actively working on the investigation and the retrieval of the duplicated items, however, there isn't a definitive time yet on when the items will be unlocked again. We understand that it might be frustrating and we appreciate your patience, but rest assured we are working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Update on the investigation of the resurfaced duplicated item; we were able to reach 70% completion as of today. We are trying our best to complete the investigation and clean as soon as we can.

As of the moment, we can't give an exact date on when we could unlock the items affected, but we will keep everyone posted on this thread.

We have some great news for you today!

We have finally completed the investigation and the retrieval of the resurfaced duplicated items. As a result, we have unlocked the items that we previously locked to investigate except for the Blue Gem Lock. This is because we are still working on the investigation and retrieval of this item. Rest assured we are working around the clock to complete the investigation and unlock the BGL's as soon as possible.

We apologize that it took us longer than expected, but we ask for your understanding as this was not an easy task to say the least and it was all in efforts to protect the game’s economy as these items should have never made their way into the game in the first place.

That being said, we hope you had a great Anniversary Week and are excited to see what’s in store for the following months!
