[GUIDE] What to email support, what not.

Hey guys! So I've wanted to make a guide for you guys, something that would help you a little. I'm making a guide on some suggested things that you could email support (For clear and faster responses) and a list of things that you shouldn't email support about.

Do not email or post on the forum:

Drop game/ Trust test reports

Don't bother emailing support about this because there is nothing they can do about it. You'll probably get the reply "Sorry, nothing we can do" - even a video, photo or a confession are not worthy evidence as they could be edited. Same thing goes for posting it on the forums, singling out players is not tolerated.

The only way to get a player punished is if a moderator witnessed the scam with their own eyes. No matter what you do, if the player isn't caught then the punishment will not be dished out.
If you happen to tumble in a drop game/trust test world, then /msg a moderator online and leave the world immediately. If there aren't any moderators online, than just leave the world so you won't risk a curse - who knows? A moderator can just be hiding his/her name.

Scam/hacker/cheat reports

If you want to email support about any of the following above (Scam, hacker, cheats..etc) than don't even bother.
Everyday they get reports like that, and they can't do anything about it. I know for a fact that most of those reports include this line:

"Can you ban him?"

There is a reason why they won't ban him immediately, this is my example of what would happen if they did ban immediately:

In game:
Bully: Hey! I buy ice drag for 18 wls!
You: No, 20 wls?
Bully: 0mg yur such a nub, I'm going to report you for being such a nub.

Support desk:
Bully: Garnub_666 scammed me, can you ban him?
Support: Okay *Bans YOU*
You: Wait what..?

I'm pretty sure you get the point of my example. Support gets fake reports ALOT. People attempt to photoshop fake "evidence" just to get an innocent player punished.
If they accept your evidence at face value, than they'll HAVE to accept the other 1k reports they got, and not everyone is honest.

Accidental recycled items:

I know everybody makes mistakes, but you have to take full responsibility so that mistake doesn't happen. There is a confirmation screen after you click on RECYCLE. It is your own fault that you did not pay attention to that clearly. Do not post it on the forums, or email support - because you will NOT get refunded, sorry!

What you can email:

Harassment:

If it's harassment of any kind, you can email support@growtopiagame.com about it, they'll look into it and punish them depending on how bad the harassment is. Another great solution that you can use is the /ignore command.

Unfair punishments:

There is nothing they can do about your ban on the forums. All posts about bans and other punishments will be deleted.

If you feel like you were ban incorrectly, you can email support@Growtopiagame.com Make sure you add your detailed information like your In-game name and the details of the situation in your email. They'll explain the reason why you got punished. However, if an error was made, they will probably unban you.

A mod abusing his/her power:

I believe that the current moderator do their job well, they work hard everyday just to keep us safe. However, if you ever think they're abusing their moderator powers, don't be afraid to email support@growtopiagame.com and inform them about it, they'll do a check and if that moderator was really abusing his/her power, if so, they'll be removed from the team.

I probably missed some thing, if I did, PLEASE let me know right away! :3

You can e-mail them about Technical Issues too (if nobody is able to help on forums), they'll usually help with that.
Also, not 100% sure, but you can probably e-mail them if there's a game-breaking bug that you shouldn't share on forums.

What if you ask them to change email of an account but then you are not the real owner of the account?? That would be an easy scam...How would they verify?

That actually is wrong, i had that mistake in my guide and i forgot to change it, sorry.

To be able to change a GrowID email, the email has to come from the email address that was locked with the growid, if you forgot that email, then there's no chance for you to change your email

They require that you email them from the email that you set up your GrowID for verification, along with logs they can check (they won't admit that they do it as a service, which is true) to make sure you haven't been hacked or whatever.

You are wrong... You can send an E-mail about a hacker... I got scammed by a hacker, I mailed the support and they replied, thanking me for the report, and letting me know that the owner was hacking, and they banned him...
