Yeah if you do role quests and your builder, surgeon, farmer, and chef levels are low you get pretty easy quests and get them done for free. Also, you can do your daily goals if you have a high enough level and your awesomeness is high enough that's even more gtokens. Furthermore, if you complete your 3 life goals you can also get gtokens. Finally, some daily quests are pretty cheap, and you can use caduceus from surgery to buy growtokens. It can easily be done with 3 dls or less I think.

The Lances are that low according to growstocks, but yeah your estimate is probably way more accurate than mine cause my rings guess was really impossible, for the golden Talaria I decided to change it to 70 dls each because I saw "Princess," who was recently doing a legendary quest, buying them for 70 dls each.
