Is it advisable to invest 1dl into beds and break them to try get a Pet Sock? If yes, how much can I expect to spend/profit and how much do beds and pet sock cost?

Nope, it's better to hunt for pet socks when massing. Breaking and replanting the beds will take so long even with a 1dl budget, and it is not guaranteed that you will get the pet sock. Massing would be a better option, since you could make profit while trying to get the pet sock. Then you can just repeat massing while increasing your budget if you're that dedicated into getting the sock. Just mass bed starting from mushroom seeds+ wooden chair seeds; you can make a bit of profit there.
