Also, given that nobody has seen a trace of a perfect crab in like three years, it's safe to say that it's impossible to get.

Exactly this. It has a value between 1 and 199 but ubisoft is too lazy to fix this tiny issue in their code that has been overlooked for years despite many times being brought up. There is no “small chance” to get one they are literally currently impossible to obtain.

Let me get this straight for you. Perfect crabs are IMPOSSIBLE to get. There isn't even a small percentage of chance at obtaining it. Sadly, NekoRei didn't speak with much knowledge on the issue as she's literally just there to convey messages from the devs. The way it works is basically RNG to get a crab of a certain LB, but as of now you can only obtain 1-199 lb crabs. It's impossible to exceed the limit.
