I'm going to be blunt here, for the first time in Growtopia's history, this event looks purely Pay 2 Win.

Spending money gets you thousands of these seals, of which 12000 are required for the top tier prize.

Spamming winterfest crackers gets you a chance at a few winterfest seals, realistically you'll end up with about 3 or 4 for every 10000 gems spent on a cracker pack. that equates to something like 30 million gems of winterfest crackers to get to the max tier prize without spending money not counting the endless hours it would take to get even close.

The only other way (that we currently know of) is 50 tokens for completing the daily quest. 50 out of 12000.... compared to 1800 for buying the new holiday pack.

This seems extremely unbalanced especially considering the new tier 6 ancestral items are required from this event.


Can a dev confirm if these are the only ways to get these seals, or are there other ways that we will be able to obtain them in?

we need to honor ubi with our money. they use sweat blood and tears to make this game. u dont think they can make update with seals that is p2w so that they can feed their family this christmas? u need think that they need gifts too etc. - which u can only get if u make it p2w IRL cus u need money.

Your saying as if ubisoft is a small indie company but rather they are a multimillion coporation with lots of money. I'm sure they would do just fine

do u think gt players are all adult? this is suppose to be kid game. not even casino is allow. not to mention u need 75$ just for 9k which unlock the ances upgrade.

All I have to say is u expected something good?

And tbf why can't they add ways to grind for them so breaking blocks n trees is a low drop chance of seals

add more accesible prizes 10 seals = 200 gems etc

What I would highly recommend at such a juncture is offering an accessible method to acquire them with a low chance, thus requiring grinding, so that while earning them would be somewhat strenuous, it would not be impossible.

Seals are appaling.

So Seals have been added in this update, which are little things which payments of real money can equate to this currency which is collected for certain rewards.
The thing about this is it's all behind a paywall, With only 5 seals being obtainable through ingame events which is triggered by crackers which are 10k gems for 20 so lets say u get about 3 or 4 events and get all 5 seals you have 15-20 seals with you needing 240! for the first item now this is just downright ignorance.
Why not just add a little initiative for people like us to grind so lets say getting 5 points grants u lets say 200 gems? random seeds xp? anything which will make us as consumers go alright I'll get a cracker and get 5 seals for gems or xp.
And secondly why is there no way to obtain them by playing the game? why can't we get them from breaking blocks doing activites just like tree decorations?
And finally who even thought of adding the paywall to the LEVEL 6 ances upgrades and all the other rewards which come with this winter wonderland.
Something seriously needs changing because this is unacceptable in our game.

Just make them earned the way which tree decos are earned and add more so like time being online logging in each day etc it's not rocket science making this 50/50 for everyoen and the people who want the rewards straight away let them get it

I'm fine with the royal seals update since I don't really care abt it ( since it's just a p2w event ) and I personally agree with the ances upgrade being there on the royal seal store because if you can get it easily by just spending diamond locks on it, then almost everything spliceable would be even more farmable ( the level 6 blue ances ).

A much better idea would be just simply replace the ances upgrade with somthing else, then put the ances upgrade into a reward for players that have played growtopia for a (insert number) year.

This is completely based on my opinion and critiscm are welcome
