  • Fossils should be heavily nerfed [Poll]

    I know many people here make a fortune out of these fossils, but hear me out.

    It's really emberassing how many buy+ owners set links to different worlds full of rocks. Sometimes it even takes more than 30 seconds until you actually arrive at your destination world. The way the fossils work really broke the world system.

    I thought of the following solution:
    If there are more than 4 people in a world for longer than 5 minutes, you'll have a chance for fossils to spawn. The more people there are, the more fossils will spawn. For example: every 4 people in a world is +2% increased chance for fossils to spawn.

    I think this will be a good solution to reduce the amount of fossil farms. Let me know if you got any other solutions

    I don't think anything should change, but there should be more punishments for long links and greedy buy+ lava, climbing, and double jump links.

      The thing with fossils is that it’s just the old growtoken system. Change how to get fossils entirely. Maybe through a blast or something

      Having a system that rewards world traffic already proved disastrous with growtokens. There was no need in the first place to create a new system that's based entirely on the same inherent flaw that made growtokens so problematic. I don't understand how this obvious problem is still completely ignored despite being brought up multiple times on the forums.

        Ubisoft is working on other things that's why, after things like lag and bots are generally solved, plus when PVE is done... and when the game gets steady enough income for ubi to support it well, then we'll get the rework if any

      even if Fossil only nerf, there will be a chance that more and more people will make Fossil farms because the price of Fossil goes rise.Even now, maybe there are some who feel Fossil has got nerfed secretly so they think it's hard to get Fossil so the price of Fossil is now rising.They have to change the fossil system into something new maybe like suggestion above (using blast) / some of the comments above (maybe like strike to Fossil link or vending link; ripper wing, climbing boots,asbestos boots)

        Also players that enter from the main door will increase the spawn rate vs players that enter from linked doors will decrease the spawn rate of fossils.

          The issue is that this doesn't incentive players to hold in-game minigames, nor rewards them when they do.

            I think they already nerfed the Fossil Spawn, I have tested this out on my world
            i placed 1 rock each time, and not more than 30 mins it got fossil, (im in the world)

            I again placed 1 rock and then it got fossil again,

            And then i tried with alot of rocks ( 5 rocks ) for 1 Hour, not a single fossil have spawned

              Instead of making them harder to come by, they should make it easier. Fossils should generate at the same rate no matter the world traffic. Maybe even make them appear a bit more often, something between the active trade world and just 1 player in their farm.

                So basically your suggestion is to make only casinos and BUY+ worlds with honors get fossils, nani!? Basically, make the rich people richer? I think a good nerf would be to make them as common as possible so that they become dirt cheap and people stop caring about them so much.

                  Fossils aren't something you get to hunt up anytime like geiger items, nor something you can farm constantly like fire or all seeds, nor something you have to wait for like carnival or comet items. They're different, and new. Embrace the difference.

                    Damn that's weird, I did seem to recall they said that fossils spawn equally in every world no matter how many people there are in them for a long time. But now recently it has been looking a lot like those big trade worlds and so on have a ****load more fossils than my farms, for example. Perhaps all of this is just a result of some error they made in implementing this?

                      I hate everything about fossils, I wish they would be like a rare spawn chance from a dirt world.
                      No need for rock farms and **** links. **** these links bro. I'm tired of them. I calculated this daily and..

                      On estimate, someone who plays for 1 hour a day, will spend 10 hours a year on links.
