While taking my time and rejoining the game to see what's up I had expected updates and more fun added to the game, challenges which don't involve profiting off of and having something called a "community"
Here is my official take on Growtopia and why you should reconsider your life's purposes.
-----------------------------------
For the valid introduction I will be saying that I have had a mixed history playing this game, I have never experienced what it's like to be "rich" or what the feeling of having 200 jumbo wumbo lumbo locks would be like, because I put the time into reputation rather than owning something somebody does not have. Which I can estimate is about 6-7 years.
1. Not a game but a toxic corrupted capitalistic environment
When you fall under the category of a game where the goal is to bigger yourself to the fullest and keep making those world locks it wouldn't matter. Because in the end the prices go down and you are left with DL's that in later years will be worth close to nothing as the game keeps adding farmables to make the game easier for new players, this also means the inflation of the market which will keep inflating till we have some weird rare locks that you'd only gain when for example you'd have 200 Legendary locks. It only keeps going and there is not a end to this, this only keeps looping. Items which raise our dopamine and make us feel powerful but in the end only damage our minds knowing we put hours into something that will ABSOULUTELY NOT MATTER ever! It's hysterical how people keep falling under this trap and then later on complain about how they hate this game even if they had already achieved a goal that is not achievable, what is that goal? Having those locks in your pocket baby! That set you bought a month ago which was worth 200 dl's is now 100 dls! The point that I'm trying to make is that no matter what item or how much you work for something in game you'll be doing this till you get tired and start some gimmick about quitting and later be pressed back into the game. It's a ongoing loop with no end and your farming and the business efforts you put into having something will be nothing in the end.
1. Casinos/scams
You knew this one was coming. How many times do I have to lock in to see "teampfpcsn0001" in my world screen. It's hilarious and even if the mods do put effort into banning these people "sometimes", it only feels as in if they want to keep those players so they don't quit from the game or cause some weird movement about legalizing casinos. In reality they do care but even if they could be patching some things that make casinos possible it would lower the rate rather than increase it. "But you can gamble with trees and chands lol" true, but it's better to have some changes rather than keep the original one going for another 4 years. If you don't know what I'm talking about I'm talking about the roulette item.
