Nevermind, wasn't grinched... big mixup. My secret santa dropped the item on me while I was AFK, and I didn't realize that I didn't have it before. Only learned because he asked me right now if I liked his gift. Really nice gift btw, thanks malware!

Okay, I feel terrible not because I didn’t get a gift but because I literally cannot give my gift. I’m not joking. I literally cannot find the person I was assigned to in-game nor am I able to drop off a gift in a donation box of a world I’m sure they own.

The person I was assigned to, BossKraken, or whose supposed IGN is Aliyesil149, included the following in their submission:

The world they put as a drop-off point, UVB10, is not only Donation Box-less but is not owned by the same IGN. Rather, somebody named INFUS3D has the world. I don’t want to automatically assume the world owner is still Aliyesil149 (only difference being he changed his name) because for all I know he could have sold his farm and this new owner can pose as being him; I’d rather avoid any confusions.

I cannot message them via Instagram, as I don’t have an account. I’ve tried to /msg Aliyesil149 multitudinous times in-game, but I have not found them online at all. I would attach several screenshots of gameplay as proof buuuut the forums is being the forums and I can’t figure out a way to properly attach pictures to a post. I don’t want to be considered a grinch, because I really am not– I literally have a Chicken Plow in my inventory waiting for them.

What do I do? I need help; I want to give my gift but I cannot find the person I was assigned to. Thanks.

Sorry, I just need a place to vent. My Secret Santa this year is a person with 3 posts and has a sob story in their entry. On the day of the gift exchange, I received these in my donation boxes.

Last year I let it slide when my Secret Santa gave me a single party cake, maybe my requests were too expensive and party cakes were too hard to find. This year I did not receive anything I wanted on my list at all, and out of all the things they could have gotten me, was farmables. On entering my world, somebody can clearly see that it is a sorcerer stone BFG, making these gifts useless to me. This year, I made sure that my requests were insanely cheap and obtainable so that almost everybody can afford it, but somehow it still was not enough. Yes, I know that I put that anything works, I just thought that I could follow the trend and get something that would surprise me.
At this point, I thought that maybe it was actually all they can afford, but then I was curious and found their entry:

Both of the things that they requested are worth over 2 dls, greatly exceeding my 2 wls worth of stuff 4 toys donations. Yes, I also know that Secret Santa is not about the gifts, but the messages they put in the donation boxes basically tell me to take their floating items in their farm, which I visited, and shut up, which does not really give me any Christmas spirit.
Anyways, that's my rant, I can't even properly apply for the secret grinch relief because I didn't receive nothing, which led to me writing this. Thanks for reading I guess.

Just to update everyone, there are actually relatively few active cases of Grinching that haven't already been resolved.


Please be sure to fill out a form if you got Grinched, even if you don't want anything it's still nice to have the statistic. If the numbers are to be believed, this year actually has far less Grinching than last year.
