  • New useful IOTM suggestion - Block Layer Machine

    Block Layer Machine

The idea taken from the real construction machine, the brick layer machine, which lays down pavement automatically along its way.

Currently, there's no item that suits the builder's role in a similar fashion.

It would be permanent item that comes with 3 states, similar to the Diamond Horn/s. The item will allow you to build single/multiple lines from your stack or remote.

    Auto-single-line placement

    xxxx[Player]

    Auto-two-line placement

    xxxx
    xxxx[Player]

Auto-two-line placement with a gap in between:

    xxxx
    -----
    xxxx[Player]

The player only needs to equip the item in the desired state, choose the block, and walk with it to work, just like the chicken plow plants seeds, this one would lay down blocks behind yourself.

If multi-lines are too op, a single line would do as well.

How is it different to the Chicken Plow that already exists in the game, multi-lines aside?

You should provide a valid reason, instead of just posting useless replies to increase your post count.

If you mean that it places any blocks, its a no from me. Can be used to make an actual autofarm (only need to plant seeds)

No thanks, it would make autofarmers life easier since they wouldn't have to spend time coding the block placer.

Not sure what is it with you all and the auto-farmer phobia

It's not about auto-farmers, at all, but to improve the every day life of regular players in the game.

If Ubisoft wanted to prevent auto-farming, or make it harder, they could simply disallow Chicken Plow, Harvester, etc. to work on sliding blocks and/or while wearing a certain set.

            I don't mind a key-press cooldown as well.

The problem is not with these items, but the bots themselves. They'll always find a way to automate things, even without any of the existing items in the game.

This item could be balanced similarly to the Gaia’s beacon or UT, by making it cost gems to place the blocks (3 Gems/Block Placed)(The Tesseract manipulation has a Cost of 1 Gem/Punch so 3 gems/Placement makes sense) , with a delay similar to the punch delay with the Tesseract Manipulator. Also this block should only have a maximum stock inside of 1500, like all of the other items in this regard.

This is how the item could be balanced but I still think that this item would completely break the economy and should not be added...

Another solution could be that instead the block can only place to 3 Block in front of it, (While still costing 1 Gem/Placement)
