PC can use their mouse too, yet they have the feature? Your argument is invalid and therefore deemed useless.
It's a matter of convenience. Farming longterm with the space bar is way better, and doesn't hurt the finger nearly as much.

Doing this means they need to re-write the game for mac only. (theoratically)
I don't own a mac but as far as I know it is ported from the iOS/iPad OS that's why ya'll didn't get the "use spacebar to punch",
and I believe that there is also no option to use enter as the default "ok" which will concludes my theory.

I might be wrong but that's what I know about it.
