I agree with Lokean! This is a serious problem.. And I can say for sure, that there are many many more than 100 AFK/idle promoters. And there are probably close to 1000-2000 bot promoters. I've firsthand seen at least 5-6 spammers at BUYMUSIC promoting the same world, you can enter BUYMUSIC and there are 20 spammers even at 1AM... There are much worse worlds. This overall leads to inflation, because it is easier to buy items, and so value over decreases
Unpopular opinion and slightly off-topic,
But I think Growtopia should just make CARNIVAL kind of world, but for Casinos... It would get rid of world locks, which could slow inflation.. And normally, casinos normally give advantage to the casino rather than the gamblers, and I guess that's how it works in GT too.
So let's say, on average, there is a 40% chance that you make a profit, overall World Locks would be taken out of the economy. And because there would be a legal and scam free casino, people would opt to play with less risk..
It's different from legal gambling because, in legal gambling, World locks aren't taken out of the economy, they are just circulated... Whereas if there were a proper casino world, the World Locks lost, would be completely removed from the economy.
I've heard from friends, that illegal casino owners can make 2-3BGL per week, and it's that doesn't sound unrealistic, which is the scary part...Last edited by NutsNBoltz; 09-11-2020, 04:41 PM.Goals:

Adding more games in the carnival that requires world locks instead of tickets might do the job. It'll be those kind of games that gives you random tier-based prizes, higher scores will increase the chance of getting a rare one (unwanted blocks and backgrounds shouldn't be included since wls are more exp compared to tickets) and it shouldn't be a "casino" type too, maybe a RAFFLE system for an item will do good or a SPIN-THE-WHEEL to win.

++A limitation for the maximum of 3-5 online accounts per IP might also work. (Just another suggestion)
++Prevent the players from making worlds with words such as "csn" "casino" "min" "bet" (This is not a good idea)
The amount of these bots are causing the servers' instability and it directly affects every growtopians' gameplay

UPDATE:
Also take the note below as an example ⬇️
Note: there's a lot of them, and you can see them by doing /msg sellgo
(other 4 char words such as "sell" "goto" can be bypassed by putting an underscore. Ex. /msg sell_)
Update: Seems like there are over 2k bots in the game. Check zeh_gt's instagram post regarding the issue.

My suggestion is for the afk accounts, read it
"Captcha for players after being inactive/afk for >5 minutes, and a follow-up disconnection after 1 minute if the player didn't try to answer/fill-up. "
And there's no need for you to quote it all

BUMP +1
But server stability must be improved by improving server itself in first place, but not with workarounds like removing players that could be afking for some time maybe for a valid reason irl.

I’m going to be frank here, implementing a system to individually track how much time it has been since a player has made an input will most likely require more processing power than just allowing the SellGo accounts to AFK.
Secondly, For Casino Spam Bots and Auto-Farming Bots, the best solution would not be implementing some easily by-passable “Captcha” but instead implement better 3rd party software detection, rather than focusing on some pointless “Captcha” it would be much more imperative to be able to detect when a Botting program is running, and be able to stop growtopia from running while the Botting program is running. This would be significantly more effective than just implementing an easily by-passable “Captcha”
Also, this "Captcha" seems to only be targeting AFK accounts, not even bots, as it only activates after 5 minuets of INACTIVITY, bots are defined by the fact that they are NOT inactive, but instead use a script to perform an action over and over, by the way your are describing this it seems you just want an AFK kick in the game :/Last edited by Lopyhupis; 09-15-2020, 04:16 PM.Cheap Stuff in THANOS
