    Default Mini-Mods

Well, I have a suggestion that could fix it all. Here we go.

I was noticing that there are a few hours each day where no mods are on and scammers run rampant. It doesn't have to be like this.

So, I thought, why not mini-mods? Mini-mods would be just like moderators but with a few minor modifications. They would have all the same powers, except they couldn't mute or ban players as well as close threads. They'd be able to curse and tape players, and moving threads.

Their nametags would be cyan and instead of @ they'd get #. So instead of @RandomPlayer12345, it'd be #RandomPlayer12345.

They could be re-evaluated every 1-3 months for full modship.

Mini-mods also wouldn't get personal items.

I think this can be a great way to cover more ground and make the game safer. It'd ensure that 1-3 mods are online at once. It'd be a great way to give positions to players who have a real desire to help. There would be no perks of any kind, except the satisfaction of doing good.

This way, people who care are helping, not people who crave power.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Post em.

EDIT: For clarification I want to tell you it's still not a popularity contest. They'll be mods stripped of some powers and all the benefits. Thank you.

EDIT 2: I'd like to thank you all for the outpouring of support. All the opinions, good and bad, I appreciate them all. I'm glad you all want to share your ideas and pinions. Whether I agree with them or not, I've read them all and am glad you took the time to reply. I also really like Seth's idea. I thought Hamumu and Seth would want to choose them on their own. It'd be a good idea for mods to do it though. Mods spend a lot of time interacting with players and know the ins-and-outs of the community. Maybe there could be a way to tell which moderator appointed any given SWAT team member.

You mean ModInterns, The type of mods that have Almost the same abilities as the mods, Like a reinforcement.

This is absolutely a great idea.

    So like a pre-moderatorship trial?
I don't know what to feel about this. Would be kinda confusing.

I think its great, I would love to this implanted in the game. I wonder who they would be, and how many.

Awesome idea! Never thought of it before!
So it will be like this?(future player rankings):
    Devs(Seth, Hamumu)
    Mods(@INightmareI,@Greenswe,@Tony26,@InFocus,@Solo rien,@Lokster,@Meow,@Aimster,@Seil,@Play,@Redbone. )
    Mini Mods: #Random1,#Random2 etc.
    Normal Players

Hmm. Seem legit and a good idea!

    Default Great Idea

This is a not bad idea. The issue would still com down to weather or not the peoplr chosen will be able to handle the power given to them. A user with this "Mini Mod" Power can still do major damage.

    Better Mini-Mod Powers:

    Mini-Moderators can go invisible.
    They can go through walls.
    They get more popular.
But they can't punish people, they need to be a moderator.

If they can't punish people, theres no point in making them mini moderators....

Moderators (or mini-moderators, in this example), do not take up the job to be famous. Being popular would be on the bottom of their lists, if not even on there at all.

Also, what would be the point of being a mini-moderator if you can't technically do anything. Sure, going through walls and being invisible is cool, but how exactly would it help?

Mini-Moderators are almost the same as Moderators.

Well, I think this is an amazing idea!

Although, the new players might get very confused with all the new colors of names. I guess they could learn, but it would take awhile to get used to.

I really love this idea and I hope it gets implemented someday!

    Post hmm

;I think if they made mini mods, they should not be able to turn invisible, but can still go though walls

But, they can duct tape, not curse because mini mods would be easy to get, and you would not want one to go corrupt now would you?

But if mini mods could not punish, what's the point... they would use it selfishly....

Because its an easy rank to get, they could sneak into giveaways and steal everything because mod orator is rely hard to get, you will become trusted, but most people could get mini easier so they would be less trusted

Mex its different things. From my observations these 2 are seperate stuff.
One makes them 90% invisible, and enables them to no-cip(Go through walls).
The other makes them 100% invisble, although you can still use consumables on them... ._.

I think they should be able to curse for 10 minutes or less. And if they /MSG a mod, it would be easier to notice by having some other sound effects or if there is a problem, or the pm could actually pop-up on the screen of whoever the pm is sent to.

This is a great idea. And maybe it should be that you have to have proven yourself as a Mini-Mod before you can become a mod? But then again, if they can't punish players, then the players will have no reason to fear them, therefore the scammers would begin scamming again when a Mini-Mod is online.
Even though I quit and I'm gone, I just want to say that I really miss this community.
(Is it still similar to the way it used to be?)

    Thumbs up

Hmmm I like the idea. It would bring a lot of help to the super busy mods. Maybe they could make it that the only thing mini mods could do is a 10 minute curse and/or tape and no ability to walk through walls and invisibility so that you wouldn't have to worry about them scamming items if they were corrupted mini mods? But since they can curse them they might still be able to scam. Hmmmm maybe just a tape then and the better work they do the more upgrades they can get until they become actual moderators. And I mean you wouldn't just choose some random person to be a mini mod, just someone who you think could be a mod but you're not 100% sure so you make them a mini mod to see how they work.
But yes I think this would be very helpful for the mods and cut down on the scammers.
