Hey all,

It's been a pleasure playing and meeting you. Sadly, life's getting busy again and I'm losing interest in Growtopia. I was already planning to retire before ZeroRarity (http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...ty-signing-off) but I stuck around for a bit because I didn't want to leave at the same time he did. Would just have been a bad time for the friends that he and I share.

Yes, I said retire. Not quit. First off, I'd like to say Congratulations to Seth and Hamumu for hooking me onto this game for so long. The constant updates were the reason I stuck around for the first few months. I would have left the game in the first few weeks if I saw there hadn't been any updates in a while. Thank you for listening to your players and their suggestions and issues. Thanks for creating the forums as well. I've met and watched so many people here grow (pun). I've set goals for myself, and I've accomplished pretty much all of them. So I'm out.

Also, before I go any further, feel free to ask me anything (preferably about GT). I can't promise to answer all the questions, but I'll try.

But I'd like to write out a trip down memory lane:

I organized it in parts to make it easier to read.

Le Story of Yoshi WARNING: LONG

Part 1: Completely Lost

Found this game around May 2014, on Youtube. Was searching for a decent mobile mmo, and watched pcats play Growtopia a few times. I saw how much fun he had, and decided to give it a try.

Hopped into this game creating an account straight away (I didn't want those strange numbers behind my name in a guest acc hah). And in all honesty, I was COMPLETELY lost. The only knowledge I had was a few videos from pcats I watched, and the description of the game in the appstore.

This was back when the START world was the one made by Seil. I spent the whole first week trying to figure out how to make my own world. I had no idea all you had to do was type in any world name. Actually, the only worlds I went to for the first week were the ones in /top. Worlds like WIKI, FROGPARKOUR, BIRTHDAYPARKOUR, and TRADE (back when they were all good). I discovered the forums, and finally learned how to create a world. All you had to do was type in the name ._. I also learned how to properly lock the entrance of the world with a small lock and doors, which was helpful (Thanks to @Seil's guide).

I also accidentally visited DISNEYLAND. Yes, when I was trying to type YOSHI for my world name, I accidentally typed YOSH*T, which led me to DISNEYLAND. (Oh and for you 2015 players, DISNEYLAND was an ugly place back then. Tons of people using profanity there, was filled with around 30+ people). So that was confusing. I thought the world name YOSHI was messed up or something so I instead typed BLYOSHI and it led me to my first ever locked world. I finally owned a world!

Part 2: Somewhat Lost

So after a week of being completely lost, I was finally a little less lost. I started reading more of the guides on the forums, specifically about farming. I remember learning the ropes from reading DevinS's guide. I farmed the hard way. I had a dirt farm, cave background farm, brick farm, grass farm, rock background farm, wood background farm, rose farm, daisy farm, and all the other farms of stuff you would probably think is a waste of time to farm. I was farming all that at the same time, and was gaining a ton of seeds (specifically from the rock background farm hah).

So what do I do with all this junk? Nothing at first. I really didn't know anything other than farming and parkouring. I also visited as many giveaways as possible (because everyone likes free stuff right?). But, I always lost in the giveaways. Why? Because I had no air robs/speedy items, and people were always hbowing.

Thus began my first "mass production" project. I spent the next day researching about how I can make an air robinson, and saw it was ridiculously complicated. I started mapping out a splicing tree for air robs, and I had to use two whole pages because it was so ridiculously complicated. And back then, there was no MASSHELP, MPGUIDE, or iOliver's guide. We had to do this stuff on our own. I spent the next few days focusing on splicing everything I needed, which was a pain. The reason I put quotes around "mass production" project, is because I only ended up with one air rob somehow.

But finally, I ended up with my first air robs! But I still wasn't winning very many giveaways, due to the dang hbowers. So what do you do when others are playing dirty? You play dirty as well. Thus began the search for an hbow.

I did many odd jobs at the time, like farming for people and breaking worlds for people. I remember helping someone clear a world (sadly I forgot their name), and they gave me some free clothes, included a Stinky Bucket (This thing: http://growtopia.wikia.com/wiki/Stinky_Bucket). I was very thankful for the Stinky Bucket, due to its high 32 rarity and stinky mod. I also remember doing a breaking job for someone, breaking their blackrock (I thought he was super rich at the time, blackrock is some pretty rare stuff). He/she asked me if I wanted a world lock or an hbow as my reward. Being the greedy Yoshi I am, I chose the hbow.

So now I was destroying it at these giveaways, with my new air robs and hbow I had earned, and getting even more junk. I learned about shops from visiting a few, and decided to create one. I earned my first couple of WLs from the shop, and I also got scammed a few wallpapers hah. But I was learning more and more.

I also did a few giveaways myself, which was my first ever post on the forums.

Part 3: The Joy of PvP and the WOTD Obsession

So I found Vange's videos on Youtube, and thought it was awesome to fight against others to win prizes. So I created my very own, KOTHPVP, with a brand new concept King of the Hill. If you go to KOTHPVP, you'll see that it's destroyed and unused, I later sold it for about 20 wl. This is the thread if you want to learn more about it: http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...?98350-KOTHPVP

I started farming some pretty pro stuff, like blue star wallpaper and sugarcane . I also did a ton of Tapjoy offers, easy gems. During PAW 2014 was when I earned my first 100 wl. I made some flamethrowers right when they came out and sold them a few for 25-40 wl each. Now that I had a supply of gems and lots of junk, I hosted events at KOTH. I remember seeing some forumers there, like mahmoud and TK69, which I was amazed at. It's a small world, eh?

But then I thought, maybe I have a chance at WOTD? I already saw Seth's WOTD nomination thread, and thought my world was quite worthy. Sadly, after nominating it at least 5 times, it still didn't win WOTD. So I scrapped that idea, and got serious. What can I make that will be unique for Growtopia?

And I came up with possibly my favorite world I've ever built, and the hardest world I've ever built. CHEMISTRYJUMPS. http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...Periodic-Table Took me many weeks and hours fact checking, but I finally came up with a unique idea that was educational and fun! So after I was sure it was completely done, I gave it a try and nominated it for WOTD.

Crossing my fingers, I logged in the next day and saw it was WOTD!!! Yes, I submitted the world 1 day before and it got WOTD right away! The trophy showed up in my inventory, and my world was #1! Pcats, the guy who I found the game from, visited my world and enjoyed it! I finally earned my first WOTD!

A guy named Bretz visited my world the next day, and offered to buy it for 440 wls. I never owned more than 400 wl, and the thought of having more than 500 wl was crazy! So, as the greedy Yoshi I am, I took the offer and took the WLs. I friended Bretz, and we are still good friends to this day. Welp, somehow I went from having no WOTD and less than 400 wl, to having a WOTD and more than 500 wl. To be exact, I had around 700 wl.

Part 4: Loophole in the Economy

I discovered a loophole that not many people seemed to take advantage of at the time. This is buying station seeds 2 wl each (stations were really easy to buy at the time), mass producing exclamation sign seeds, and making the fairly new coffee makers, which easily sell for 2 wl each. NOTE: This doesn't really work that well anymore, as coffee makers are more common.

Using this technique, I earned my first 1k wl! I also made many new friends along the way, but I'll get to that later.

I also created this slick guide (might be outdated) : http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...World-is-Worth . This is where, for the first time, I talked to QueenBurt, who suggested I should make a world containing the information of the guide. She talked to Dabid, and my world WORLDNASDAQ got linked to NASDAQ! I also had the pleasure of meeting Dabid (old owner of NASDAQ for you new players), and he is honestly one of the nicest people I have met in the game. WORLDNASDAQ never really got popular, but it served its purpose, and I got to talk to the owner of NASDAQ (fangirls )!

GrowGanoth came around, and I created these guides as well: http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...lysis-Findings and http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...loween-Edition . I also made some decent wls by creating the first Nightmare Magnifying Glass service, in which I used my Harvester of Sorrows to help people get Nightmare Magnifying Glass's for a price.

With the help of Atownplayer, and his world SEEDEMPIRE, I was able to create the worlds FIGHTS (sold for 500 wl, now is a cheap token world. Old thread here: http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...ew-PvP-Concept! ), and TIMED (my second WOTD, which I..uh..also sold for 250 wl. http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...que-Race-World! ). I needed WLs at the time, because these worlds were expensive to create, so I needed the continuous funding of WLs to make more worlds.

Part 5: LOCKSTREET and the rest of 2014

Possibly my most interesting idea yet, LOCKSTREET. I was wondering, what happened if a non-world locked world won WOTD? Then I thought, what if it was made of locks, placed by other people?? And LOCKSTREET, the WOTD with no owner, was born. We ended up getting more than 1000 people to place a lock, including 4-5 mods. http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...T-history-here

Random jokes: http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...10-mods-online
http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...u-guys-like-me <-- In case you don't get this one, this was a joke off of the trend at the time, people kept making threads asking "Do you like me?"

Random guides http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...s-for-50-60-WL

Random complaint: http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...-Honors-Worlds

2014 was coming to a close, so I decided to create the GrowForumer Awards, which didn't really work out but was carried along by Sidewynder (big thanks to him, even though he recieved hate for it) http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...mers-24-Heats) . I also put all the rewinds of 2014 in one thread: http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...ST-All-Rewinds , which is an interesting read.

But 2014 wasn't over yet. Why? I won WOTD on December 31, 2014! That's right, the final WOTD for 2014! http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...fficial-Thread Spent a lot of time making that thread hah. My first adventure world.

Part 6. 2015, Casino Era.

Around this time, late 2014 and early 2015, was when casinos were really starting to trend. And it sucked. People were making thousands of wls off of taxing people, while I earned my wls through mass producing and farming. I decided against joining them, didn't want to become part of it.

I did, however try, a new concept of PCASINO, which was betting with small locks. Didn't work out, people preferred to bet with wls. http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...arnival-Style) I really do appreciate and apologize to those admins that helped me there, though.

Speaking of things that failed, this also failed, but was fun for 20 minutes. http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...ival-Challenge Thanks to Goldshard for keeping me from quitting that day, out of anger.

I also had the chance of meeting Rubie and Fredi, who are both amazingly kind people and hardworking.

I also killed my fingers one day by doing this: http://www.growtopiagame.com/forums/...all-Seed-Packs!

But yeah, that's about it. I felt like casinos really took over and ruined most of 2015. Really started to make it depressing seeing all these drama threads all about casinos. Started to become a little more inactive and less productive in 2015. All I pretty much did in 2015 was to keep switching back and forth from atms to chands, and back to atms.

Oh, and I sponsored Saw Boomer wanted a dirt gun in the game, and I liked the idea, so I sponsored it for him.

Goals I achieved (still have these written all from the beginning, just interesting to look back at all the goals I made) :

And some personal thank you's to these people who have changed my Growtopian life or have made the forums interesting to read:

As for what I'm doing from now, I'll be trying to figure out what to do with the 2000 wls I have, then I'll be deleting Growtopia. I'll be replying to the replies here until they stop coming, then I'll be signing out. I might come around every now and then as a guest to check how things have been going.

I got my whole life ahead of me, and Growtopia was a major part of it. So thank you again to the devs, for making such a great game that kept me here for more than an year.

So Long and Thanks for All the Fish
