He probably got excited and wanted to share.
Back then it was easy to get a mod to reply, that's if you actually had a valid question. Now it's just too hard to get a mod to even see your msg. Your name does in-fact have an impact on if they reply to you, like say if you had a 5 letter name or a cool name like Bunny.
