All natural disasters should be regarded in all seriousness. The Thai flooding was unfortunate, but thankfully there were no casualties. However, I didn't even HEAR about the earthquake. This shows that media coverage is not enough for these seismic disasters.... Quite sad actually

Floods are natural disasters because of how rarely they occur, but in most Asian and African countries during heavy rain a lot of caves get filled with water, they aren't natural disasters, they aren't even disasters, if someone gets stuck in the cave when it was flooded then yeah, it's a disaster, but not a natural one.

After rereading the thread, I came to the conclusion that the flooding was in fact a natural disaster, albeit not at the scale we usually refer to one is.
