Default The amount of people scamming is stupid

every few minutes there's someone sbing about their dumb fake "GIVEAWAYS" when they are either donation scams, drop games or vend scams

there's also casinos, in which 80% of them are scams too

like 9/10 of giveaway sbs are scams in some way, it's getting really dumb

Default You kinda have to deal with it

Like every single trading and collecting game, there will always be scammers. There has been a lot of threads and posts like these on the forums.

This is why moderators exist, to enforce the rules in growtopia. Now remember that not every broadcast saying “giveaway” is immediately a scam. There are a lot of good and trust worthy players in growtopia, it’s just unfortunate that some people become scammers.

Another point to make is that casinos are illegal. There has been a lot of banning and nuking with casinos, (shout out to @Jenuine and @Aimster). So if you do find one, it is best just to report the world.

TL;DR, Yes there are a lot of scam giveaways, drop games, casinos etc. But remember that the moderators and developers are working hard to keep these to a minimum.

    Have a good day/night

    Default You are brutally correct

Yes I know scammers become scammers because of greed. I know this from personal experience when I was still a new player, desperate to get rich. I stopped think like this from age.

Like you said, scammers exist because they are greedy for world locks and trying to get rich by stealing/scamming. Unfortunately, you cannot really do anything about removing their greed unless you're planning to request the removal of world locks. Once again, this is why moderators exist, to prevent these things as well as enforce the rules.

So I understand your rage towards this issue, but the best thing you can do for yourself and for everyone too, is to report and leave. This saves you time and eventually the world/player will hopefully get banned. Remember that the mods have a lot to do, so don't expect them to be banned the next day

Trust as you said is a issue in this game too; this is the same in todays world. Again you cannot fix the issue of trust too, but I guarantee that there are good and trust worthy people in GT. Find them and keep them close.

So you can do 2 things: complain and look down on scammers, or ignore them and find people you trust. I for one ignore scammers and look for trust worthy friends and players. But it's your decision after all.

Or you can blame the devs for being too lazy and instead of fixing their game their milking it for money. There's a reason why I said that, and it should be taken as a offense because telling "them" too lightly would only let them get away. This game has many flaws in its creation, of course, games are never designed to be perfect, but this game however is different. If you ever compare other games to this game, you would see the other games had already started reworking changes, making corrections, and etc that will limit the amount of rulebreakers. However, this game, it's on a whole difference level, in fact this game is just going downhills. Mods doing their proper work is a yes, however their losing their players, the amount player count last week in the daytime EST, was around 8k-9k but now, now it's hitting around 7.9k. It just goes to show you how much rulebreakers there are in this game. The fact that they never bother to fix the "needed to be fix changes." For example, royal lock and etc, just goes to show you how behind this game is. Growtopia in the old days, should had fixed these items, and mistakes that would resulted in this catastrophe. If they had a brain of course, maybe they would use the knowledge of this forum users and finally but a break to these nonsensical items that supports rulebreakers. Even if it's just a test, if it can rid the scammers and spammers than all do is fine.
But no. Just no, they say. After making thread after threads after threads, just a simple statement and boom decision is made, no changes whatsoever. Yea, I can conclude their just milking players money real good

there isn't much to do against scammers, spammers hackers other than reporting but even then, reporting never seems to do anything honestly

there's only been more scammers, spammers and hackers instead of less of them and it keeps rising

From your reply, you seem to only mention 2 mods who seem active vs the 10k+ people who are scamming and hosting casinos. The thing about these complains are that people hosting casinos and scamming is so common that you’d see them everywhere and that is a problem the devs shouldn’t put as the “pending list”. Also, your join date is a complete turn off during the hiring period

This game is mostly about profiting, farming, and ect. Kids in growtopia are most likely to scam since they cant find a way of profiting.

Even some rich people still scam because they want to be the richest that dont even make sense but makes them feel "famous."

Regular players are just hard to identify if they are trusted or not. While so are doing scams too so yeah. This is basically growtopia community in a nutshell.

    Default Deal with it.

Yes, I know there are lots of scammers. But it's their fault for scamming.
