    To be honest whenever my mom tells me to go to sleep I will be just lying on the bad and staying awake until like 3.00 something.

    I drank at least 5 sleeping pills this week since Monday.

    Turn off any light sources in your room.

    Close your eyes (i recommend you to cover it with blindfold,blanket,etc).

    Imagine you're a character in a mmorpg game.

    Follow along,as if you're playing that game in your mind (i imagined playing World Of Warcraft).

    You'll eventually fall asleep

    just ****ing lie in your bed bro
    btw if you are having nightmares and its too hot, so youre hiding under ur blanket either turn on the air conditioning or undo the buttons in the bedsheet, remove the fluffy warm layer and sleep inside, and get some ice packs to put on your limbs/chest. It works trut me. I used to do this when i was little and had nightmares, during summer when it was too hot to sleep with the blanket covering me.
    Or if you jus thave insomnia, then i suggest just lying there and not moving
    and get off your device, you cant sleep for 1 hr after playing on a device cuz it emits "Blue light" (a scientific term), which releases a chemical (i think its called metametamime or something idk) and tells your brain its time to wake up, so you cant sleep. basically just get off ur phone and lie there
