Default My laptop is infected by Trojan

I accidentally download a file which turns out to be a trojan. The trojan keeps opening new website tab automatically. I tried to locate the files through searching every visible files, no sign of it (that's why it is trojan). I've also try those steps:
    -Delete all downloaded files
    Nothing change
    -Download Malwarebytes
It did a great job by blocking the tab from popping, but still, it didn't destroy the trojan files
-Download Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tools
scanned around 20% of the files in an hour, no sign of files infected (still scanning.....)

I'm asking for suggestion to remove the trojan from my computer completely without paying (Kaspersky), anyone?
If nothing works, I only left with one solution, reset to factory settings which I try to avoid that from happening.

    Help

It is very annoying to get a Trojan virus.
That's why I don't download from unreliable sources.

What I did was backing up everything that is important, like keeping it in a USB and reset.
By reset I meant factory reset.
Some Trojan virus doesn't allow you to reset too and that's the problem.

I will tell you more on Discord.

1.Too much files to be backup
    2. The file size is extremely big
    3. I don't know what the Trojan did other than spamming new tabs. I dare not turning on the WiFi connection as I scare it will download the files from my PC or do something else in the dark.

Back up just the most important files that you're not able to recover in any way. If it's something you can reinstall (for example, Steam, games, etc.), then don't back that up and just reinstall them after the factory reset.

But it is useless if he did not save a system restore point.

If its a running app kind you should be able to see it in the task manager when its working. When i did it there was a random application open with a completely blank name. Got rid of it and its roots and it went away. Yours might be diff tho, factory reset is the safest bet. Probably should do it early as u can.

I’d just do a factory reset, which deletes literally everything.
