I feel like Growtopia is making me dumber

They say “you are who you surround yourself with”, surround yourself with kind people, you will eventually be kind, surround yourself with toxic people, you will become toxic. We know that, not all but a lot of the players in Growtopia nowadays are toxic and somewhat behave like 10 year olds. I just logged in to this game 2 weeks ago and ever since then, I felt like I spoke like a ten year old, I speak and do things that my young self would have done. I fear that the longer I play Growtopia with its current community, I would myself become toxic.

Growtopia is a fun game and all but toxicity is rampant among the community.

I speak from experience. Everything went downhill when I got addicted to Growtopia. I almost failed a subject (rare, I am a smart student) and everything hit rock bottom. When I quit the game, it's like I just became smarter and I got better grades.I quit forums and I hit the top of our class. I'm ranking 9th recently.

Yeah, Growtopia is never worth it.

I speak for experience. If you want to play, play like once a week. But it's definitely better if you don't play it at all (Again, I speak for experience).

First, determine the reason why you couldn’t leave. Normally, everything has a root cause. If you find it, you can solve it easier.
Example, maybe the root problem is, you don’t like what you are doing in real-life, that’s why you spend time playing Growtopia to past time and not think or do your tasks.

Second, find yourself something you would like to do. Find yourself a beneficial hobby. I suggest experiment on things. Like sports, drawing, animation, anything really.

Third, do what you really want to do. Sometimes you don’t do what you want to do because of time constraints.
Example, you like to learn how to animate, but you think you can’t because you have homework to finish. Which is why you just spend time on Growtopia. In this scenario, try to change your lifestyle. Finish the task you need to do early, so you won’t be concerned about it. Then you do learn how to animate.
You could also use your new found hobby as a reward system whenever you finish your tasks

More than achievements I think this is what you really don’t like to leave, friends.
I could only assume from the information that maybe you want to socialize more,maybe you’re an introvert or single child or something in real life? And you use Growtopia as a venue to socialize.
Try to play without socializing. You’ll find it boring and eventually quit.

Btw, you won’t lose your items if you decided to stop playing. It will still be there when you come back.

I met and made friends with people of different personalities, it depends on you if you'd go down below standards of what you see as dumb or stupid. I've changed a lot from since I started playing the game yet I improved on it for the better, you just need to search better in finding those hidden "gemstones" of what you call friends.
