    Default More mods are needed.

There is a time period between around 12AM GMT onwards where there are no mods online and thats when casinos and spammers are in full flow. I literally log on every morning at around this time and worlds are FULL of spammers and casinos are working without fear.

Going to re-copy n paste this

Need more mods but all of them are just being mods for fun/ just want to try...

When they get the job for first time 100% sure you will be happy and willingly to do that job..

But day by day they just like nah.. I dont want to be mod anymore ughh.
Lets do other things. Eyy I think I should do illegal things since I am mod
Yea some mods abuse the power given to them

So thats why the devs hard to choose the best/trusted/active mod

And they dont want to make same mistake by doing useless mod application

pretty sure many mods removed from their job because of inactive and decide to quit

This conclusion talk about being mods arent simple as you know. And some other mods dont even do their job properly...
You should be grateful to other mods that are old and still playing this game and do their best for this game..

If they get more mods like Misthios this problem would be solved quickly. Whenever I message him about spammers or casinos he responds and acts in a jiffy.

We don't need more mods; the issue is that most mods aren't online in the peak time.

Yesterday, when the online player count was about 30-35k, which is the peak time, there were no mods active.

However, when there are 11k players online, I have seen over 5 mods online, at once, more than enough.

I disagree, don't you think its a good idea to add 2 or 3 more mods who can be on when the rest are off?

Not a good idea. Just replace mods instead.

Current moderators can't be online all day long to enforce rules whenever it's needed. Sure we need more moderators on different time-zones, but it's not easy to pick up the ones that truly deserves this position and won't use it later on as benefit and advantage against other players. People are unpredictable and they might do things that others wouldn't expect them to do.

My advise would be to report all players that are currently breaking in-game rules while you can see that no moderators online and just leave them be. Sooner or later they'll be punished for it.

Just spoke to a guy who met me up in game, apparently the downtime hours in the game (around 11:00PM british time) when the playerbase is lower is where there are less active mods on.
I can't confirm this, but it seems to add up.
The devs of this game are in a position where they can recruit more moderators for the game, volunteer mods don't cost the company money, but it costs time, care and consideration to select the ones that will not fail them and train mods to carry out their role and use the powers given to them appropriately.
The game has always needed more mods, it has always needed that extra bit of support, the community by nature is chaotic, always has been. I am very confident that the team working on the game are well aware that more moderators are needed to support the game. And they're probably working on that too.

It would be cool if they added a "Mini Mod" (couldn't think of a better name) that just has the ability to Ban, Mute and Curse people. That way they don't have to worry about giving people too much trust and spammers can get dealt with.

or they could flag a player and worlds, kinda like reporting, and that player/world has inspection priority before all other worlds. Then the mods could come and inspect the player/world, and take whatever action is necessary. This would make for a really simple but effective solution. In the end, if the devs decided to pick new mods, they could pick people from these roles as they're more likely to be trusted.

The game always has and likely always will need more moderators. We were just the first initiative of many in terms of providing the community with better support, both in-game and out. So rest assured it's something we're fully aware of.

Later in the year - or maybe even in the coming months - there are plans to release a new moderator application. So hopefully we'll be able to at least assemble a new batch of trainee moderators within 2019, and even more from then on out.

For now, you can do your part by reporting to us when we're online, and forwarding things to us to check out. We do our best to respond to and investigate all of the reports we receive, as well as checking the worlds you guys report by utilising the /report feature.

Let me dash into the thread, Ubisoft has it's on its way to take Growtopia into the darkness of the world. I strongly agree that they are trying to take care of the game. But there is no such positive development in the game.
Yes, Ubisoft has given us a lot of lagniappes. There is languor, sluggishness in the game.

Firstly, the moderator team is volunteer, they are trying to take care of the issues but we need a moderator team which is at a rattling pace. I believe there is only one solution, the Ubisoft team has to divide and distribute the moderator team. There should be groups that can take care of each case type. We need this cause the game is rippling.

There should be a group of moderator team who can take care of the only spammer issue, also the same for auto farmers and hackers. We need teams and especially we need moderators for each country base.

But my guess is Ubisoft does not have the wherewithal for this. In this situation, all of this is fatuous. There is a fix, we all know the community knows. There is dissent and collision. Basically, they don't listen to us. I hammer away at this. I told, everyone told. No nothing we can do more. The line is exceeded, there is no way back.
