Pay to join Guild Illegal?

Basically: Friend invites person, makes em pay 10 wls, deposit thingy. Then other friend tells its illegal.

Just needed to confirm this and, if yes can you find thread that talks about this so I can show to my "guild management friend"

Pretty much every Guild which focuses on clashes has some sort of deposit system in use. It's illegal only if it's a scam.

It makes sense to ask for a deposit, it should actually be a feature. Like let's say you wanna join a big guild with tons of pro players. They wanna make sure you don't just take advantage of them, so they make you pay an amount of WLS first so you would lose WLS if you don't contribute and get kicked. Maybe have a feature that the Guild Leader/Elder can change, like ''Deposit __ WLS'' and when you invite them, they gotta pay the amount first through some sort of system.

Basically if deposit its not illegal but if you pay to join thats illegal.

Note: Different between deposit and pay to join guid
1.Deposit
You pay deposit and the deposit will be returned to you after you left guild

2.Pay to join guild
You give wls and when you quit you dont get your wls back

Depositing isn't illegal but pay to join is illegal.

Also, try finding a free guild-to-join.

Nope, that isn't necessary tho.
I never ever did pay-to-join-guild before because 0.21% of my friends got scammed because of this.
