Remove Roulette Wheels. Please.

If players are getting banned based on the evidence that they're using Roulette Wheels in their world, then they absolutely must be removed. Just remove the number spitting function, keep the spinning and everything. It spins, and then no RGN comes up. This way you don't need to worry about anyone that has tons of the wheels for whatever reason, they still have their item of the same value, it just doesn't spit numbers anymore.


This is only mildly an anticasino move. Yes, casinos will simply find other methods, they already have long ago. The importance here is not for fighting casinos, it is for protecting players from false accusations and potentially contentious bans. There is no downside to removing the RNG from the wheels, and there shouldn't really be an upside to it either, but it is clear that we need such protections for the players in this day and age. It also protects the moderators to some degree, since this sort of thing would no longer be able to be used as an excuse to dispute the legitimacy of a ban.

I think that discussions of bans are kind of the heart of this issue now, and the reason why Roulette wheels must be changed.




In regards to this thread specifically, I'm not sure how I feel about mods editing other people's posts to insert their account of what happened. Removing ban discussion, sure, but if there's a dispute about something said I think I would feel more comfortable with the post either being deleted entirely, or if the inaccuracies were addressed in a response.


Editing it gives me great pause. You are changing the words coming out of someone else's mouth, and we cannot tell what you have changed. This should be deeply concerning to everyone and I'm just glad that at the very least the forum software leaves an edit note telling us that it happened.

Misthios does a great job when it comes to deleting/editing posts. He deleted and edited mine and it's safe to say that he only deleted posts specifically related to the ban, and editted those which tackled both concerns.

Removing the roulette altogether isn't a very good idea. If you want to affect the roulette, just nerf it, but even there, casinos wouldn't be affected because there are countless other ways to RNG.

For gods sake people, there is no point in having Roulette Wheel stay in a game in which betting is illegal. For the love of god, Roulette Wheel is a BETTING game. How can you possibly see a downside in removing them???

But why remove when it changes absolutely nothing? Why oh why? Why do something what doesn't affect on anything. Think hard and watch videos and think about dl selling business. Like i said, it is the root of this issue, not wheel. You are so determinedly against wheel that you can't see anymore what is the real problem. Believe me. I really know that if ppl have any kind of business what makes lot of money, they wont stop it cause of one tool change. I have seen how my old friends has started selling illegal drugs in real life. They get beaten, they get arrested and they get all kind of problems. do they stop before they get killed? No. They wont, cause they earn MONEY. If one drug is out of stock in whole city, they start sell another one, cause they get money from any illegal drug. So removing or changing wheel does absolutely nothing. Why should they do something what changes nothing?

When issue is about real life money, people finds way to make that money with other ways. And they actually have this other way already (farmables, once again), so why would they stop or do this less? So no, removing or changing wheel does nothing, solves nothing and only reason to change it is still vend scams. For me, it doesn't matter at all what they do or do they nothing, but i want just tell that you waste time here for absolutely nothing. Start solve dl selling problem and if find way to end it, then you will be our hero.

I think the idea of ending this is great. They don't really have to remove them though, just keep it there just not the numbers.

On another hand, dice games will still be available. So, removing dice and stopping the numbers on roulette is probably a next step. No one cares about profit loss, well I don't.

Ok. Lets summarize this whole thread into this:

Question:Should Roulette Wheels lose their functionality?

Reason: It will reduce casinos

Arguement: It won't remove casinos dued to RNG blocks or even drop rates





Now that I stated this, the new question should be: How will the removal of the Roulette Wheel's effect the number of casinos made/played in?

This sadly cannot be answered, we unless it is done. But everyone who wants to keep the Wheel's effect argue it won't be affected much.this is most likely true. Besides of slightly inconveniencing the player with more "ties", thete will be no inconvenience. (What I mean in, in the Roulette Wheel, there are 37 possible outcomes[I think], in a Dice, there are 6, ties will be more common, but thats allthat will happen)

Lets now go more into depth with Blackjack, the untouchable king of casino games

In Blackjack, there are 3 people involved.
2 players
1 Hoster

Both players are always at a disadvantage. That is because of "Tax". This tax will ensure, if birh players keep playing forever, on average, they will both lose wls.

This is different from "QQ" (idk what it stand for). In QQ, there are two people, the player and the hoster. Dued to no tax being taken and both sided having an equal chance to win, it is a fairer game(and more popular for that reason).


If QQ is gone(or any game that can copy this like dice), that will significantly affect whether or not the player would want to gamble(cause they are always at a disadvantage if they choose to gamble now without QQ).





This allows us to answer the once unanswerable question: "How will the removal of the Roulette Wheel's effect the number of casinos made/played in?"

This WILL reduce players, but that is only in ABSOLUTELY ALL RNG blocks are removed. This includes, most inportantly...Dice.

Arguably the most popular game played(or spleef, but thats not important).

Dice games are used to host giveaways. With the removal of dice(and all RNG blocks)...no luck based giveaways can be made.

Is it really worth it?



No exceptions can be made. If Dice was spared(from removal of its feature), then cainos eill just use that for QQ and that won't be good.




Now...I will leave with the real question we should be asking.

They should definitely do this. I can imagine losing an entire account for doing nothing wrong/illegal. Support is absolutely useless and down help. They close my ticket in 4 days without even looking at it. Now, the game influencers have been suspended without doing anything illegal. Such GREAT work ubisoft, hope you will keep it up. I am sorry but I am very angry at this state as many mods tell me to email support of my situation but support doesn't help at all. If ubisoft continues doing this to me and other players, this game is gone.

This does not go only for me, even the normal players are completed ignored by support. Are they too poor or irrelevant to the game such that ubisoft completely ignored their request? We just get automated replies without being investigated and/ or automatically close our ticket without even looking into it.

Hope something can be done to improve the game else it will become dead one day.

This isn't fortnite oldgertie. There has only been a few items to ever get taken out of the game. Casino owners will find ways to make casinos exist unfortunately.

You are overgeneralizing the arguments presented in thread. Some of the people arguing for it have acknowledged that it won't reduce casinos, so you're kind of missing an important piece since you're only focusing on that.


There was one core issue that spawned this thread, though it has been a bit lost in the weeds since ban discussion has been stamped out.
There is a perception that players are currently at risk of being punished because they have Roulette Wheels in their worlds that may resemble casino-like setups.

This in combination with the ever-growing punishment times, nowadays pretty much any offense goes straight to an account suspension, creates a large issue. Though the risk may seem minute, there is a perception that players might now get banned for having a Roulette Wheel, not get any help from support(which will simply tell them their punishment is final), and have their accounts permanently suspended with no other avenue of recourse.



If Roulette Wheels only serve as a beacon for mods to be able to peek at a world and ban it, then they should be removed. The players deserve better than a game that would hand them blocks that are going to be treated as illegal contraband.

Even if this is NOT the case, it is definitely perceived to be the case by numerous users. Roulette Wheel = Illegal Gambling. So the functionality should be nerfed, since it serves no purpose other than illegal gambling. If you run a giveaway with a roulette wheel involved, you're putting your account at risk of being suspended for gambling. The wheel should have its RNG removed, it's just that simple.


Kind of dumb, and it will all just trickle up to the next set of RNG stuff, but it's what needs to be done as long as there is a perception that players might be suspended simply for using the Roulette Wheel for its seemingly intended purposes.



The real solution to these problems is one we will never get.
