I got the drop rates off the wiki:
    growtopia.fandom.com/wiki/Growtopia_Wiki

I also assumed the ones that didn't provide a drop rates was 1 because I've had them before and they always dropped 1 item.

Seems like GT Wiki has a lot better info than when I first made the calculators! I see it has hardness of most blocks now, too. I wish it released it's data in a workable format, though. Looks like I'll have to manually navigate to every page in order to copy it (or write some confusing webcrawler script).

I'd highly recommend the crawler option.
    Does anyone actually read this?

Hey, might you want to consider doing something like collabing with Sinister Discord Bot? I know you calculators have been out for a long time (I was there since the start) but over time I've gotten lazy to go on to the forums and search for your guide link. Instead, there are bots on discord which you can open up your app on your phone and send a command to and get your results instantly though text. It has commands like /farmables xx(no. of trees) xx(name of item)

It calculates tree drops, and also accounts for their drop rate and farmability. so maybe you might want to consider to make your calculators more accessible?

    It's on TK69's discord : https://discordapp.com/invite/G4fRbKZ

I can help with HTML & CSS if you don't mind using some responsive css frameworks like Bulma (preferably) or Bootstrap 4. We shouldn't aim to do separate front-end for each device, however, as it will exponentially add dev time when UI is being developed.

I may be able to help with hosting...depending on your back-end choice of technology. What's your back-end language and framework you are using?

Hmmm... Lately I have been considering a Python + Flask backend. I'll have a different IP/URL for each part of the calculation, then a discord bot or any kind of frontend can perform the calculations through HTTP requests. Currently, I've only worked in JavaScript, static webpages, with all the code loaded on the frontend -- but this isn't ideal.

Python + Flask is OK since I doubt you will have more 30,000 requests/minute or anywhere near.

I'd say JavaScript on the web page is perhaps better than Python on the server side. You can "obfuscate" your code if you don't want other to reverse engineer it, but that's optional.

If you however want to integrate with Discord as Holden Han suggested, server-side calculation exposing through Web API is a must. You can use NodeJS with Express to keep the logic in JavaScript, however, instead of Python. Personally I have a hard time with NodeJS, however.

    This is good advice. Thanks.

I'll try to start a Github repo this week.

Ughhh... I just filled up all the freetime I had with other things. Nevertheless, I hope to work significantly on this before New Year's.

Bump to keep the thread open.

Pretty sure you can get a domain for a buck for the first year.
Regarding hosting, which programming languages are you planning on using?
