Why are mint juleps and white crystals suddenly much more expensive?

Title. I came back after a very long break and was confused as to why mint juleps seem to have skyrocketed from about a year ago to now, its price increasing three times. I'm even more confused about white crystals. Why are they around 50 wls, while black crystals are closer to 25, even though they are much rarer?

if you go to buygeiger, u can see the old price for white crystals which was 6-8 wls

back then it was 12 wls at best, and blacks were around 50-60, now after the ancestral update and royal lock update, white became 50 and blacks dropped to 20-30

Julep rose because of:
A) Kyderby was canceled this year = less juleps in market
B) Thingamabob price dropped which allowed more players to be able to finish the legendary bot quest.


Same thing with WOTD trophies.
