Exclamation Has @odric been hacked? [720-day ban]

About 30 minutes ago, my friend and I were hanging out in our parkour world, doing absolutely nothing. We and other players in our world started getting winterfest crowns from an invisible player, which turned out to be @odric the moderator. Shortly after he revealed himself, my friend and I received 720-day bans.

After researching for about 5 minutes, I landed on his Instagram page. On his latest post, many other members are complaining about receiving 720-day bans for no reason (check his latest Instagram post for source). My friend created a post on her Instagram as well, to which she received a response from another user almost immediately complaining about the same problem.

    This leaves 2 possibilities:
    1. A moderator is going rogue.
    2. A moderator's account has been hacked into.

Does anyone have any information about this? I have included [720-day ban] in the title in case anyone else comes seeking answers for the same problem. Thank you for reading.

Wow, that is pretty weird. Maybe you should talk to support about it and they should do something about it if you think you didn’t deserve it.

Interesting, you should send a ticket to support explaining whatever has happened, as for Odric, we hope that nothing unfortunate has happened to him. But hey, only time will tell.

Thank you for the responses. I agree, it is pretty weird. I hope there is also a valid reason for the ban, but that does not seem at all possible in my opinion as we were doing nothing but socializing in a group.

I have already created a support ticket on the Ubisoft website. There should be no reason for many accounts to be getting banned for 720 days specifically.

    Hey EvenMore,

I can confirm to you that Odric is not hacked whatsoever. Moderators have special mod abilities, which is why he was able to appear visible and gave you Winterfest Crowns. That tends to be his trademark in how he crowns players.

As for the 720 ban, you would have to write in a Support Ticket to inquire for the reason behind it.
EDIT: Glad that you did. I promise you there is a reason behind it.

If true, staff will catch onto the abusive behaviour and everything will be restored back to normal. You will have to unfortunately wait out the ban until it is corrected. As of right now, I hope everything is okay and justified for the sake of the game's wellbeing and Odric too.

If Odric's account is not compromised, then there is a reason to your ban. You can send an email to support inquring your ban so you receive a better understanding of the reasoning behind it.

Hi, thanks for the response, and thanks for confirming his account is in good standing. I understand you are saying there is a reason behind it, but I nor any of my friends as far as I know have done anything to break the rules. We really only socialize in-game.

Also, how does this explain all of the sudden random 720-day bans from other random users who have done nothing wrong to their knowledge either? Thanks.

    Hey,

We don't allow ban discussions at forums, please wait for support desk's reply.
