Thread: Is Garageband good for creating music?

  1. #1

Default Is Garageband good for creating music?

I am into a lot of genres of music like hard rock, techno, metal. Currently I am using Logic Pro X. I want to know if switching to garageband will be a good decision for me.

Logic is literally the direct upgrade to GarageBand. Logic is one of the best DAWs out there. I would recommend staying on Logic.

I fell Garageband is a much better option. I have been editing on Garageband since a while now and can surely recommend you to use Garageband. It has much superior performance and features than any other music production apps out there.

The only concern I have is that Garageband is only available for MacOS I think, so if someones have a windows machine, I don't believe it is possible to run it there.

I mean, MuseScore's great for sheets, but not exactly the best if you want to just make music to listen to.
It's perfect if you want to make music to be played by an actual orchestra though.

All you people telling him to change to FL Studio. He should stay on Logix Pro X for now. Due to the fact that it's one of the highest quality DAWs out there.

Here's a link comparing the two DAWs.

PS. Do NOT switch to GarageBand.
