Even thought “self-taught” pianists are becoming more and more prevalent, the lack of musicianship skills really shows when trying to learn a new piece. Becoming entirely dependent on Synthesia tutorials really limits one to learning piece by piece instead of learning the skills to be able to tackle anything.

For example, I wanted to learn a piece that was arguably more difficult than my skill set at the time permitted, but I was able to break down the bass patterns by recognizing inverted chords and multi-octave arpeggios. It is a lot easier to learn a C minor arpeggio using scale degrees than remembering that the order of notes is C-G-C-Eb-G-C (because, as you know, it can get way crazier than that). Not to mention sheet music is the language of music, so not being able to read it at all (I say at all because I am a slow reader myself, but still am able to read nonetheless) would be difficult to communicate ideas with other musicians if you would need help or something.

TL;DR: being “self-taught” should include music theory and basic musicianship skills such as reading sheet music.
I’ll definitely consider your advice and try to learn reading. Not too sure how. I mean I know some of the basics but I guess l can learn through the internet like I’ve learnt everything i know so far. Not sure If I could do lessons or if it’s worth it. Thank you!

Chopin's first ballade is my favourite piece in all of the classical piano music, I also enjoy the work of Beethoven, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and many other composers.
I love Chopin’s first ballade and it could aswell have ended up of my (very small) list of songs I love. Op9 no2 has to be my favourite though, ever since I started piano.

To me it is just perfect.
Regardless of the Listz or Paganini (Piano or Violin) version.

Relaxed? Oh ho ho, I listen to (generally) devilish songs especially soundtracks from Soulsborne games and Final Fantasy games.

Ah I forgot to mention Non Piu Andrai. I found it on MrPaladin's outro (TF2 youtuber). Check it out cuz why not?

Eric Satie - Je te veux. Uhh, Gymnopédies and Gnossiennes are cool tho :3

    I also like "Nocturne Op 48 No.1 C minor" , "Nocturne Op.55 No.1" , "Waltz Op.69 No.2" , "Prelude Op.28 No.15(aka Raindrops)" and "Etude Op.25 No.11(aka Winter Wind)" from Chopin ( Oh now I realize that I'ma big fan of Chopin. Lmao )

I also like listening to Vivaldi but in his times there weren't any proper pianos so...
